Phoebe Chambers

Program Assistant

Born and raised in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, Phoebe is deeply passionate about improving gender parity and women’s representation at all levels of elected office. A proud alumna of Running Start’s High School Program Class of 2020, Phoebe is excited to join the Running Start team as a Program Assistant! Participating in the High School Program changed her life, as it inspired to successfully run to be her cohort’s Class Representative and a first-year Senator in the Georgetown University Student Association.  She looks forward to deepening her engagement with the Running Start community and shaping programs like the Congressional Fellowship as well as the High School Program. Previously, Phoebe has worked for Congressman Jamie Raskin’s Democracy Summer Program and Blue Future + The Youth Progressive Action Catalyst.

Outside of Running Start, Phoebe is currently an undergraduate student at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.. She is majoring in Government and minoring in Religion, Ethics, and World Affairs. On campus, she is involved with Georgetown’s Institute of Politics and Public Service, the Georgetown University Student Association, and the Georgetown International Relations Club. In her free time, she enjoys listening to Taylor Swift’s entire discography and taking advantage of all the arts and culture D.C. has to offer!
