Sabrina Gray

Staff Assistant

Sabrina Gray supports programming, partnerships, and organizational strategy at Running Start, where she helps bring to life initiatives that empower young women to envision themselves as leaders in every field. She works across departments to strengthen program design, coordinate national and international events, and cultivate partnerships that expand Running Start’s reach and impact. Her work contributes to the development of new curricula, mentorship opportunities, and public engagement efforts that help young women build the confidence and networks they need to lead with purpose.

Sabrina is passionate about fostering inclusive and intergenerational spaces that encourage dialogue, reflection, and authentic leadership. At Running Start, she helps connect participants with mentors, elected officials, and changemakers from diverse backgrounds, ensuring that every young woman feels seen, supported, and capable of shaping her own path to leadership. She is especially interested in initiatives that promote civil discourse and collaboration across difference, believing that the most effective leaders are those who can build bridges and lead with empathy.

Before joining Running Start, Sabrina graduated from Bryn Mawr College and is now pursuing a Master of Urban and Regional Planning at Georgetown University. Her academic and professional work explores sustainability, spatial justice, and community development, with a focus on how immigrant and diasporic communities create a sense of belonging through faith, culture, and place-making. Her ethnographic research on Kenyan immigrants in Atlanta highlights the resilience and creativity that emerge when communities build identity through shared space and practice.

Sabrina brings to her work a balance of analytical thinking, creative problem-solving, and a deep commitment to equity. She believes that leadership grows strongest in community and is dedicated to helping young women lead with confidence, curiosity, and compassion.
