Lauren Underwood

Lauren Underwood's run for Congress was nothing less than historic. She is the youngest Black woman in Congress and the first woman and millennial to represent her district.

Congresswoman Underwood is Running Start's first alum to win a Congressional seat. She participated in the Running Start Summit in 2015. Since then, she has spoken at the Running Start High School Program, at the Young Women to Watch Awards, has hosted Congressional Fellows, and has been a mentor and a role model to Running Start participants and alums.
